Social Rehabilitation of Minors in the United States of America

Abstract

United States of America was one of the first countries which in the turn of late nineteenth and early twentieth century undertaken the labour to build a  system of justice and rehabilitation for minors. Till this day, their participation has become a great deal initiated by various circumstances- reforms. Currently, due to the increase in number of juvenile delinquency, high costs and low efficiency, questions about the future of the American system of rehabilitation come up. Next to typical rehabilitation actions, raw ideas of juvenile punishment on an equal footing with adults appear. In light of the foregoing, this article is meant to show the historical and institutional conditions of actions taken against minors, and to be an attempt to answer the question of which direction the American system of rehabilitation of minors is going to.
